Update

I went to the neurologist today to get the results from my MRI. Here's the scoop: the new lesion that I had on my brain is now gone. I have a lesion on my spinal cord which is causing all the lovely symptoms. I am going to do a steroid treatment starting next Wed. I hope it helps. I don't know if I can wait that long. I can deal with my torso but my entire leg and foot are absolutely driving me CRAZY!!!

Today I am thankful for my husband. I appreciate that he came with me to my doctor appointment.

I am also thankful for my sister. I hope she knows I too would do anything for her.

I checked back to see how you are doing. Why are they making you wait till Wednesday for the steroids? I think you should start them as soon as possible. I feel that they would give a lot of relief. Good luck!!

Kristina- I think they are making me wait b/c that is the soonest the hospital could get me in 3 days in row. I just told my husband last night that I hope I can wait that long. I'm having a really hard time. I'm just so uncomfortable. Thanks for checking in.

Heather, Sounds like you'll be getting solu-medrol (SP). The good stuff! My Doc's office has an I.V. room for such things. If I were you I would call the hospial myself. The hospial should be able to get you set up anytime. Go through the ER. You just have to wait sitting in waiting rooms and so on. Do you live in a small town? If so is there a bigger city near by that could help you out? Meanwhile, if these ideas don't work for you. Try to stay cool. Any heat or to much activity may stir things up. Again, good luck!!

I hope the steroid treatment gives you some relief.

I like that you always look at the positive at the end of your entries!

Heather,
Hope the IVSM works like a charm for you. I get IVSM done at home and have even worked with a pole. It's too bad you have to wait until next week. That's crazy to me.

Good luck with the pain and such. Thanks for always leaving me kind comments. You ROCK!

Hugs,
Weeble

I have the same symptom, my whole left side has the same feeling. I did solu=medrol for a week in the hospital where I was admitted. The sensation went away for two months but came back. This time solu=medrol and Avonex have not worked. My doc wants me to go on Tysabri but I declined. He told me due to the amount of lesions on my spinal cord, that the pain could be permanent.

Heather,
Again, I'm writing to check on you. How's the I.V. treatment? I know they are no fun. I hope it is helping. For some it can help quickly, for other it can take a bit. Hope all is well.
